Just wanted to thank our lovely readers that have supported Corinne and this blog in my absence, and also let you all know that I’m back~

Sorry that I haven’t done anything for the blog for almost a year – I was kinda dying with overload of schoolwork and other deadly moments of my life. Despite the fact that I haven’t done anything for this blog yet… ｜−・;) I’ll be coming up with a guide-ish/walkthrough for the NEW- yes, new otome game that Cheritz has released for the mobile – the most anticipated mobile otome game – Mystic Messenger!! For iOS users, the game’s release date will be a little later, due to Apple’s processing & reviewing time (¬▂¬)… So rest in pieces, Corinne. Don’t die on me with the waiting time, okay? ♥

Anyway, regarding the walkthrough for Mystic Messenger, it’ll probably take forever to do. Since this is my first playthrough, I’m not going hardcore and restarting the app to check out every single answer and what they do. 

The way I’ll be distributing this walkthrough will pretty much go like this:

  • Distribution by days – for people who just want to look at it for reference. I’ll just post the answers that I chose personally for the conversations that occur on that day and give assumptions as to which one I believe will allocate hearts to the character of your choice.
  • Character routes – After I finish my first playthrough of the game, I’ll start being hardcore and restarting the app every time a conversation finishes so that I can find out what specific answers do, and which answers will lower hearts and so forth. If you want to know the order of which routes I will do – Jaehee, Yoosung, Zen, Jumin, 707. Pretty much I’m doing this from the least to most favoured (sorry, I’m just not into yuri lmao)
  • Emails regarding the party guests – I’ll post the answers I chose, indicate if they are correct or not, etc.
  • Emails regarding characters – This will be difficult since I’ll probably miss some LMAO. I would appreciate it if I could actually get some help from any of our readers regarding emailing the characters~ (My account had so many problems so a lot of my stuff got erased …（－_－）ノシ )

I don’t really know if you would need a guide for phone calls, but just in case, I’ve written down all my answers for phone calls as well.

  1. Hi! I’m on day 6 of Mystic messenger on sevens route. The game was working perfectly until suddenly today I can’t open the new chatrooms and they appear grey rather then green or orange as hey usually would. I’ve had to miss 4 chatrooms because I cannot open it and when I try clicking on the clock icon so I can enter the chat that also won’t open?? Not sure what to do, i’ve tried logging in and out of my account and restarting my phone but its still not working.

    • it does this for currently loaded chats too? D: thats really strange.. IM guessing it would be a bug and contact cheritz about it. hope it works soon! (just in case id do a hard save via settings so you don’t miss anymore chats)

  4. For some reason I keep getting locked on certain days even though I’ve completed every chat. Why is it and how can I fix it? EX: the 9th day box is the latest day I can access though it’s day 10.

    • thats strange? my guess is that after a day you can’t go back to look at the chats. If you want to reread them you can through extra>chat history>click the route and day it was on

  5. Uhm… In day 11 of Yoosung’s route i have a class at 12:30pm and it just end at 5:00pm… I heard that party will started at 12:00pm, so I feel very nervous 😥 What should I can do? Will I be able to attend the party at 5:00pm?? Sorry for my English is bad…

  6. Hello, when I did my account for the second time I think, because I didn’t like how the story went because of my choices, I got 80 hourglasses. This was yesterday. My first account only got 30. And I deleted my second account again, because I didn’t like my route… But now I only receive 30 hourglasses everytime I create a new account. Why is that? Why did my first one get 30 and my second one 80 and now only 30? I don’t understand that… Please help…

    • You don’t need to delete your account. Go to “Account” > “Start Over”, and then click on “Original Story”, and save over your old save slot. You would lose all of your hourglasses by deleting your account each time. ^^

    • you’ll move into day 5 with the character whose route you are ons icon is on the days. if you don’t have any character there after completing day 4 it means you got the bad ending

  8. Hi there. I want to ask something, I don’t know this has been asked before or not.

    So.. When I want to buy the hourglass in android, does that hourglass also appeared in ios? Or just in android? Lil bit confused bcs in other games, there is a difference between items purchase on ios and android.

    ps: I played on ios device, but I have a problem with the payment so I had to buy it on android devices that the ways of the payment is easy tho

    • if you log into your account that you made for mystic messenger that you bought them on your android for and are logged in on ur iOS then yes. if you were just on guest and never made an acc i don’t think it will transfer, though

  9. Hello! Say, if I don’t have wifi for 10 hours and my save file was around 10 am, will loading the save load at 12 am work? Or do I have to reload exactly when I left?

  10. Hello!! I would like to know if i can enter the chatrooms i missed on a day. I don’t uderstand well the 5 HG thing.. i’ve been told that if you pay 5 HG, you can enter a chatroom you missed, but how do i do that?? For example, I started the game today at 13:00. Before that, there were like 4 conversations. Os there any way to play them?? Thanks!

    • next to a conversation you missed, there should be a little box that has an hourglass on it. If you click on it you can pay the 5 hourglasses, and then click on that conversation and you can participate

  11. I’m doing Yoosung’s route now and currently in the final day. I was so excited for the party and was playing it when suddenly the game stopped and crashed. I tried to open it and played it again but the same thing happened and the game crashed. Perhaps you know what’s the problem? When is the last hour to join the party session? Thanks in advance!

    I’ve only recently begun to play this game and I’m currently on the Zen route ( yay! (๑>◡<๑)) Is there any chance you might post a zen route walk trough anytime soon? It would be really helpful (I used the character mails and guest mails walktrough on this site as well ^^') I'm just wondering though. ;3

  14. I got a little enthusiastic and bought the next 24 hours for Day 1 to 4 so now I’m out of them. Lololol. Thinking of selling my yellow hearts to get more (I never learn, do I?) Is there a consequence if my yellow heart reaches zero/below 100? so it considered the game currency. Please advise! Seven is waiting for me~~!! >///<

  15. How does buying chats for the next 24 hour work?
    For example on the 4th day, I buy the next day (5th day) do I get to take part in all the chats and receive respective calls and messages as well? And after I finish the chats, do I immediately continue from Day6?

    • you’ll get all of the chats for the next 24 hours (so if you bought after 3pm, you’ll get all the chats from 3pm day 4 to 3pm day 5). You’ll get the respective phone calls after you finish the chat, same with messages! then you continue from there

  16. Hello! What happens if I accidentally reject a call? I’m on Jumin’s route and he called but me being too excited accidentally clicked the red reject button. When I called back he said he’s working and will call back later. Is there any way I can get that call again?

  18. Hello! I´m sorry if this has already been answered but I can´t find a satisfactory answer and either way I want to confirm.
    Lets say I save on Monday around 3 pm and then miss all the chats after that. If I come back on, lets say thursday around 3pm and load the save from Monday (on 3pm) will I be able to get all the chats that I have missed and play like I have never missed them?

    • IM not 100% sure (ill double check and if it isn’t true ill let you know), but IM pretty sure if you load it back from the point you manually saved at it should just load the conversations from there like normal!

  19. Hello! I´m sorry if this question has already been answered but I need to know this and couldn´t find a clear answer.
    Here is the scenario: If I save today at 3 pm but miss all the chats afterwards and come back another day and load the save from 3pm at the same time ( but on another day ), will I be able to redo the chats I missed?

  20. In on the final dag With 707 route, but the chat at 08.00 is stuck on loading chat screen. Ive tried 2 Times’ Now With uninstall and install again, but IT still dosens work. What is wrong? I dont Wanna do day 10 all over

I’m not sure whether you’ll see this but i deleted my account because i gave up lololol i thought after i deleted my account i can always sign up using the same email but ㅠ.ㅠ do i have to wait?? i wanted to start over because i got bad ending thrice!! and even worse i accidentally spent my 50 HG TO BUY THE SAVE SLOT LIKE;;; WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS ;;;

  26. hello ^^ so the new update for the MM app apparently deletes accounts tht has been changing their time using settings to open missed chats :((. i am scared to ever change my time again for MM just in case my account gets deleted. do u think if i used like some kind of a proxy app on my phone, they wouldnt be able to track me and i could do this(changing times to open missed chats) without worrying? 😔 cant afford to lose my sleeping time for this

  27. Ok, so my first playthrough as more of a test run to see how the game ran, who I would get without being influenced by a walkthrough and such went horribly xP
    I failed and got the bad end, cut the game short and I had to start over. I am not doing Deep Story 707, ready to follow your walkthrough (i currently finished day 1, waiting for Day 2 to start) and I was wondering, how would I make sure I dont fail and get 707 like I want if I cant always be there for chats?

    I mean like, when i go to sleep, I would like to use as little, or no hourglasses, but I know missing chats is inevitable. I dont wanna mess with the clock because I don’t understand how to use it to manipulate the game so I dont wanna much something up.
    I guess my biggest question is, how many chatroom conversations would I have to miss to get a bad ending, or go off Seven’s route? I really wanna finish this properly, but because it just keeps going when I’m asleep, Im just so worried T^T

    Any info on this subject would be fantastic as I can’t find any info just searching google

  29. Hello! I have a few questions and I really really need your help. You’ve probably been asked this a few thousand times already but I hope you wouldn’t mind…

    1) Can I play the bad endings after I’ve already gotten the good ending? I’m on Zen’s route and I’m aiming for the good ending first, but I would like to play the bad endings as well. Is this possible?

    2) After I have finished a route, is there a possibility that I can go on that character’s route again?

    3) After I’ve finished a route and start a new one, will I be able to revisit the old conversations I had with the previous characters? (It’d be super sad if we couldn’t though ;_____;)

    • 1.) you can, but you have to make a save where you want to start off and load it from there to get the bad endings
      2.) yup! you can always replay. if you just want to play it and not get other endings you can replay all convos/vn modes in chat history!
      3.) what i said ^^ its in extra>chat history>(route name)!

    • thats strange? it should still move on to the next day with a chat ~8am and party at 12pm. if it isn’t maybe try contacting cheritz? someone else commented something similar so it could be a bug

    • network error is usually when the game is down? it could be something with the time change, so maybe try to put it back and see if it works? otherwise it might just be the game server

    • it shouldn’t! its usually if you don’t get enough hearts (in the common routes) or you choose the wrong type of answer repeatedly throughout the route (ex. keep choosing answers about wanting jumin’s money during his route)

  37. Hi! Someone asked for something similar to what I am about to ask but I kind of didn’t get it so uhm, I finished Yoosung’s route and his route showed already on the extras. I’m starting a new route now and I want to start over because I kind of messed up. If I start over would I have to restart Yoosung’s route again? Thank you 🙂

    • So you started a new route after completing Yoosung’s route and messed up somewhere along the way on your new route, yes?

      If that’s the case, no, the completed story with Yoosung won’t be erased 🙂 It will always be there~

      When you start over from the settings, the only thing that will restart is your current progress in the storyline. Anything before that will not be erased, and your accumulated hearts/hourglasses will also not be taken.

  38. Is there a chance to do all the routes and etc (even the Deep Route cuz i really love Luciel and i want to do his route so badly) without paying any real money?
    Or is there a big chance i’ll end up having to buy HG’s?
    Becauce as i said i really want to do all the routes but my parents would never allow me to pay real money for it…

    • The casual routes are all for free, unless you miss conversations (pulling all-nighters for this is not fun).

      Deep route stories can only be accessed through using 80 hourglasses, so there will be a high chance that you need some :c Cheritz does give free hourglasses with every update (I think about 10? I’m not sure if that is still happening, but it will accumulate if so).

        I guess in a way Cheritz does subtly ask you to do the casual routes first, especially if you want to unlock the Deep Story for free with 80 hourglasses – since you have chances of getting hourglasses with each conversation you do~

        Plus if you do all three routes, and keep ‘farming’ for the hourglasses, then you have a higher chance of being able to reach 80~

        You can also use the hearts that you’ve accumulated to get hourglasses as well. Just go to the “buy hourglass” screen and change the tabs at the top left of the popup that appears for you, and you should get the option of using 100 hearts to gain hourglasses (like… 1 or 10. I forgot, but it’s very little LOL).

        Another slow, but sure way of gaining hourglasses would also be when you are able to fully complete (get all three correct answers for a guest) the email set from a guest, you can go to the guest codex and then click on each one of their profiles and get one free hourglass 🙂

  39. It was my first time playing Mystic Messenger and I just got the bad ending in Yoosung’s route on day 7. I’m thinking about unlocking the deep story mode to play 707 route because that’s the route I really want but I’m wondering if I’ll get a lot of spoilers and it would be better to play the casual story until the end of the 11 days first. Can someone tell me what should I do?

    • It really is up to you. If you prefer reading everything from the start and slowly building the suspense, then reading all the casual stories starting from Zen would be better. However if you really do not care for spoilers or whatnot, go for Seven’s route, or anyone’s 🙂 Seven’s is basically the full main story, so it does contain literally, EVERYTHING about the game.

    • I haven’t gotten all the CGs for everyone yet, however the CG you may be missing might be from his normal ending or one of his bad endings. To get a normal ending, you need to have less than 7 guests attending your party, and for the bad endings, try to pick all the bad answers when you see a caution sign.

      I haven’t made a bad end walkthrough yet so I can’t help much at this point but I hope this information helps!

  43. Hello! I’m a newbie to this game and still haven’t fully figured out what hearts are for. I mean, I know that you get them from conversations and it means you have some sort of feeling with the other character but I am always short on hourglasses so I was thinking to spend some hearts! Do hearts change the ending you will get or are they simply to get hourglasses like in my case? Thank you!

    • Hey there!
      Hearts are specifically used to just get the hourglasses, so feel free to use them.

      The hearts are indicators as to whose route you will get at the end of Day 4. The character with the most hearts will be the route you end up on.

      Once on the character’s route, you’ll pretty much get hearts with them in everything you say, so that’s when you need to start selecting good choices in order to reach their good endings. ^^

    • The after endings for each character costs … 20 hourglasses (from memory – or it might be 10. Sorry my memory is so bad since it’s been a while).

      There are also two secret stories, both with 7 episodes in them, and it costs 10 hourglasses per episode, so you’ll need a total of 140 for the secret endings.

    • No, if you select Start Over from your account settings, nothing will be lost. Only your current progress 🙂 You can still return to your save file you made previously any time.

      • Hi ^^ Will it delete any photos gained from previous routes completed? (Basically, if I’ve completed 3 routes beforehand and want to start over after a day into my fourth route, will the photos and phone calls from the first three routes be saved?)

    • I was under the impression that if you saved and loaded back to that previous save later everything should be fine. But you have to load back around the time that you saved… So of you saved at 10:30 on Monday, you should load back around 10:40 on Thursday (or whatever day you can play again). I just don’t think it can be longer than the party amount. Or, if you have an account, you should be able to Uninstall the game and reinstall it whenever you can play again, and load from the same place. Again, the timing should be around the same time as when you Uninstalled just in case.

  47. Hello!! I just got the game today and i know that there are specefic times you need to respond to a chat in order to not use your hourglasses. But my question is will there be a time where they won’t send you messages? For example i started like at 6:30 in the afternoon…..i don’t know if i’ll be getting messages at 3 in the morning or something:/ or when i’m at school. I’m just confused on that 😅😅 thank you for your time!:D

    • They send messages at all times of the day, pretty much > <

      If you want to know what times the conversations are at, I wrote them on every conversation 🙂 Just check next to the conversation name and you'll see the time in 24 hour time, like the game itself.

  48. Hello, I have a question; when you’re done with your route and start again, do you get to keep the hourglasses you gathered in the meantime? I’m trying to reach 80 to unlock Deep Story but I think I won’t have enough at the end of Day 11 😦 Is it possible to start a new route with the amount of hourglasses you had before?

    • Yes, definitely! All the hearts that you’ve accumulated along with the hourglasses are for that specific account; it doesn’t change or start over when you restart on a new route 🙂

  49. Hi! I’m trying to save hourglasses bcause I can’t spend any money, and I have a few conversations I have missed from days 2 and 3. Do you think it’s worth it rejoining the conversation or maybe its better of spend the hgs calling the character I’m aiming for? I’m not sure which would give me more heart.
    Again, this entire game guide is amazing! Thanks you for taking the job of doing this for free!

    • Hello there~

      Hmm, that’s a hard question :c
      In my opinion, I believe it would be better to redo the conversations, especially if you are aiming to get a specific character’s route.

      Calling the characters sometimes will NOT go through, depending on what time you call them, so you’d have to find a calling guide or some sort of written schedule as to when they’re all free. Trial and error can waste your hourglasses ; u;

      So yeah, I think it would be better to rejoin the conversations that you’ve missed out on, and focus on getting onto the route you want, because one heart can make a difference as to whose route you get!
